The Office of Care Coordination on behalf of the Orange County Continuum of Care (CoC) is facilitating the Youth Action Board (YAB) recruitment and selection process. The YAB is an advisory body comprised of Transitional Aged Youth (TAY), ages 18-24, who have experienced unstable housing and/or homelessness in their lifetime. This advisory body that will inform the Orange County Continuum of Care (CoC) Board about the unique experiences and barriers TAY undergo and their experiences in navigating the homeless service system. The goal is to ensure that TAY voices and perspectives on past or present lived experience of homelessness are heard and considered in the decision-making process of the CoC Board. The group will also collaborate with multiple TAY-serving agencies and collaboratively work together to improve TAY’s connection to services. The YAB will provide a way to share recommendations and feedback on the Orange County CoC and its programs and services.
