Lived Experience Advisory Committee Recruitment

The The Lived Experience Advisory Committee (LEAC) functions in an advisory capacity to the Continuum of Care (CoC) Board and is intended to ensure that the voices and perspectives of individuals with current or past lived experience of homelessness are elevated in the decision-making process of the Orange County CoC. The LEAC also provides a mechanism to share recommendations
and feedback on the CoC and its programs and services. The LEAC may be called on to collaborate with and/or support other CoC Committees for the purposes of evaluation and systems improvement.

The Office of Care Coordination, on behalf of the LEAC, is facilitating the recruitment and selection process for a Youth Representative (ages 18 - 24) to serve on the LEAC.

Youth Representative Application and Selection Process

If you are interested in applying, please review the Youth Representative Opportunity Description (linked below) and complete the LEAC Youth Representative Interest Form via SurveyMonkey at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YouthInterestForm. The Office of Care Coordination will prioritize Interest Forms received by Friday, April 5, 2024, but will connect with additional interested youth on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Once applicants have completed the Youth Representative Interest Form, the Office of Care Coordination and LEAC Chair and Vice Chair will review Interest Forms received and identify a qualified applicant based on the responses provided. The Office of Care Coordination will then communicate with all applicants to share information on next steps. The selected applicant will then be presented with an opportunity to meet with the Office of Care Coordination staff and LEAC Chair and Vice Chair as well as attend a LEAC meeting to determine if they would like to proceed with the opportunity. Finally, the selected applicant will confirm their desire to serve on the LEAC.
