Continuum of Care Board Nomination & Election

The Office of Care Coordination, on behalf of the Orange County Continuum of Care (CoC), is facilitating the annual CoC Board Nomination and Election process.

The Orange County CoC Board is charged with responsibilities and authorities on behalf of the General Members of the Orange County CoC. The Orange County CoC is comprised of a governing board that represents the stakeholder groups that align with the community’s priorities and the identities, background, and experiences of key partners, including people with lived experience, in the community.

The Orange County CoC is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects our community and broadens the CoC Board membership to reflect the diversity of identities and experiences more wholly within Orange County. The CoC is intentionally seeking people who hold the following identities and experiences, including but not limited to Black or African American, Indigenous/Native American, People of Color, LGBTQIA+ and people with lived experience of homelessness or housing instability. Please reference the flyer for more information on the CoC Board nomination and election.

Vote Online

The Orange County CoC Governance Charter identifies that each CoC General Member (one representative per agency or individual) is permitted one vote for each of the CoC Board seats up for election. Be sure to review the CoC General Membership Roster to confirm the authorized representative for your agency who will cast the vote. If your designated representative is unavailable, an alternate member listed in the roster may vote on their behalf.

The CoC Board is looking to select a range of seven (7) to eleven (11) members for the current election process. It is important to the Orange County CoC to ensure that the CoC Board is diverse and representative of the people in our community who tend to experience homelessness.

The voting period for the CoC Board Election will occur from Monday, November 18 at 3:30pm through Wednesday, November 27, 2024, until 5:00pm, via an online survey. To vote, click on this survey link and submit your voting survey online. Please submit your vote as soon as possible as the last day to vote is Wednesday, November 27, 2024, until 5:00 p.m.
